STRANGERS IN THE NIGHT- Sandra has grown her blonde hair SUPER LONG AND LOVELY!! On this Saturday night, she’s driving from the Hoosier state- about 3 hours away- to Chicago to join us in the studio for a haircut. Not just any haircut- a HEADSHAVE!! HOLY SHNYKEES!!
At the same time, Jessica is driving from Wisconsin to Chicago to shave her head!! Even though they live hundreds of miles apart, they will meet in the middle and have their heads shaved side by side!!

Fleur is definitely “one of us.” She’s a hot young coed with a million dollar smile. Two years ago, she got a buzzcut, and loved it!! Now she is ready for another super-short haircut from Pierre, our Australian barber. Fleur is 21 years old, born and bred in Australia. Her mom is from England, and shaved her head a few years ago. Is being a Hair Enthusiast something Fleur inherited from her Mom? Flour’s Dad is from France, which explains her name- Fleur.
Just because Fleur is “one of us,” doesn’t mean she’s willing to shave her head with a razor. She’s willing to get a clipper shave, but is afraid of the razor. Pierre gladly agrees, and gets to work!! In a very few minutes, he gives Fleur a “BUTCHY BUTCH HAIRCUT,” clipped as short as possible with clippers.

Alyssa wants to shave her head, and despite several scheduling delays, makes the 1,000 mile trip to Chicago to do it.
For the past several months, Alyssa has been imagining what she will look like as a BALD CHICK. She imagines everyone on campus as BALD GUYS and BALD CHICKS. She is perfectly relaxed during the “BEFORE” modeling session, and not too nervous when she gets in the chair and watches as the cape is put on.
Just before the start of the haircut, Alyssa admits that she’s pretty nervous, but answers “I’M READY.”
Sugar Pie does the honors with more than usual RUTHLESS ENTHUSIASM, and one of the funniest moments in Hair Enthusiast History.
Sugar Pie fires up her purple Flair clippers, and without hesitation, runs them right down the middle as Alyssa watches in stunned silence as she watches in the mirror.
Then, as Apryl starts the second swipe, the clippers die. “And you said it was charged,” said Alyssa. “You can’t leave me like this.”
We quickly rounded up a pair of BIG BLOCK CHEVY clippers, plugged them in, and Alyssa’s haircut continued. Alyssa watched every bit of her haircut, stunned at the speed of the clippers (and her ruthless barberrette).
If Alyssa isn’t the BEST BALD CHICK EVER, she’s certainly among the top few.

Victoria is “one of us.” She is an avid Hair Enthusiast who has imagined shaving her head for years. Our ad asked “WOULD YOU SHAVE YOUR HEAD FOR $500?” Victoria called on our ad in Detroit, and eagerly made an appointment for the next day in Chicago.
She drove all the way from Detroit to Chicago with her boyfriend to shave her head. He was very supportive of Victoria’s decision, and jumped right in to help with the camera work.
We fire up the Big Block Chevy clippers and run them right down the middle. “So that’s what it feels like,” Victoria says with a smile. In a very few minutes all Victoria’s hair is clipped off. She was very enthusiastic throughout the haircut, and very happy with her smooth shave!!

Morgan’s story begins early in the morning with a phone call responding to our ad “WOULD YOU SHAVE YOUR HEAD FOR $500?” It’s the middle of the summer, and it’s the hottest day of the year. By the end of the day, Morgan will be shaved smooth!!
Morgan texts me a picture and says she would shave her head for $800, and we say “DEAL.”
We make a date for this afternoon, and Morgan arrives, ready for one of the biggest haircuts ever performed in our studio. We shoot the “BEFORE” footage and shortly the “MOMENT OF TRUTH” arrives.
Morgan is about 9 out of 10 on the nervous scale, and we run the clippers right down the middle!! Yikes!!
Shocked at the sight of the swipe down the middle, Morgan is speechless, and in a few short minutes, all her hair is shorn.
Morgan runs her hands over her newly “BUTCHED” head, and makes a lot of scrunchy faces, smiling faces, stunned faces. In the end, she loves her new “SMOOTH” haircut, and so do we!!
In addition to her $800 modeling fee, we give Morgan a gift of a MORGAN SILVER DOLLAR from the 1800’s. We think Morgan is a treasure greater than silver or gold!! We thank Morgan for her bravery, her beauty and good sportsmanship. BEST DAY EVER? Hard to argue against it.
